Lamb's rock or echo point is known as the famous view point at Ooty. It is a heaven for photographers, the differentiation of shadings between the caramel shakes, the lavish green and the sky blue of the sky, make for some fascinating and motivating pictures.

A visit to the spot at day break will let you see astonishing shades of orange spread over the sky as the sun advances into the great beyond. With the Nilgiris spread before you in colors going from green to blue and an extraordinary perspective on the Coonoor Stream as it wanders among the slopes descending to the fields.

The trip to the view tower from the stopping zone is fascinating and once on top there are awesome perspectives on the mountain ranges and the train line from Mettupalayam to ooty is additionally obvious from here. 

When to visit?

During January and March, the trees become very bright and you can enjoy your every walk. On the right, there is a Hullical gorge including Coonoor waterway.

How to reach?

This is 24 kilometers away from Ooty and 8 kilometres from Coonoor.

By rail – The closest railroad station is Ooty itself, which is associated with Mettupalayam by a toy train. Mettupalayam railway station is 40 km away and has trains to interface Ooty to different spots in the area. 

Via air – The closest air terminal is at Coimbatore, which is around 90 km away from Ooty. Standard trips to Delhi, Mumbai and other close by urban communities, including Bangalore. 

By street – Successive transports and cabs are accessible from the area – Bangalore (300 km), Coimbatore (85 km), Mysore (125 km) and others. You can also hire private cabs to avoid traffic.
