A coastal village located around 80 km away from Rameshwaram and around 15 km away from Ramnad, Devipatnam is also a popular shrine to visit during Rameshwaram tour. Devipatnam is one among the three prominent shrines of South Coast Tamil Nadu. Devipatnam, along with Rameshwaram and Thiruppullani are associated with the Hindu sacred epic Ramayana. Also known as Navapashanam, this holy town is famous for the Navagraha Temple, which is visited by almost every devotee.  Devipattinam temple is associated with Lord Rama. There are many legends related to this ancient temple. Ettayapuram-A historical place to visit

Ettayapuram palace located at the town of Ettayapuram in Tuticorin is one of the best historical places in south Tamilnadu. This Ettayapuram established its kingdom in 1565. Ettayapuram appears out of nowhere about 40 km from Kazhugumalai, and is a picture postcard of any south Indian town — temples, memorials, thatched roofs and large bolted doors.  The beauty of the palace: Ettayapuram palace The Ettayapuram palace is only a stone's throw from Bharathiyar house but no one seems to know exactly where their king once lived. As the car trudges through the sandy roads, we turn off into a corner with a large, broken gate.
